Put Your Best Foot Forward

Just as flip-flops have staged a triumphant return this season, another nostalgic Y2K trend is now following suit: the anklet. Oh how we love that our favorite jewelry trend of the 90’s has yet again returned-From runways to celebrities and style influencers, the anklet trend has emerged in newly imagined forms - grown-up takes on the vibrant beads and bandanas that once ruled summer camp.  

1. Lay the bandana flat.

2. Cut the bandana into 1 1/2” strips

3. Knot two  of the strips together so that the new strip is approximately 55” long.

4. Repeat step 3 until you have 3 bandana strips that are 55” long.

5. Braid the bandana strips together

6. Cross the right section over the middle section.

7. Cross the left section over the new middle section.

8. Repeat steps 2 and 3, alternating which section crosses over

9. Add a 6mm jump ring to the charm

10. Attach charm with the jump ring and add to the safety pin.

11. Then customize the safety pin with charms and letters.

12.  It's the kind of little detail that changes everything!
